Cramlington School Sports Partnership

Cramlington School Sport Partnership was formed with the introduction of the government's PE and Sport Premium funding in 2013. Working in partnership together helps to ensure a similar programme for children across the schools, opportunities to work collaboratively and come together for shared sporting experiences, and the benefit of specialist support from the SSP Coordinator.

Cramlington SSP supports Shanklea Primary School to secure improvements in the 5 key indicators of the PE and Sport Premium funding:
  1. Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport
  2. Engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity
  3. The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement
  4. Broader experience of a range of sports and physical activities offered to all pupils
  5. Increased participation in competitive sport
At Shanklea Primary School, our aim is to provide a broad range of engaging physical activities which enable all children to be active across the calendar year.
